Do I still have to pay the same amount of tax on work that i've picked up from overseas? Wondering if there may be some clause whereby I can pay less tax (hope!).

Just found this website... but am happy to answer your question.
You need to clarify whether you actually worked in the US on this work. If you did not actually work in the US you do not need to worry and you can pay taxes in the UK as normal and I assume you are resident in the UK (please email me if you need clarification on the UK taxes). If you worked in the US you will have at the very least a filing requirement in the US for Federal taxes. You will file a non-resident return and depending on the work done you should be able to exempt it from US tax under the US/UK tax treaty. However, if Federal taxes are due you can take a credit for these against your UK taxes. Additionally, you need to consider state taxes (as these are calculated in isolation on a seperate return), please tell me which states you worked in?
