As part of our ongoing commitment to technological innovation, we are seeking a skilled IT Developer to enhance and maintain our web presence and case management systems. This role is crucial in ensuring our digital infrastructure supports the efficient operation of our legal practice. Role Overview The IT Developer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our business website and internal case management software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development and experience working with web technologies, case management frameworks, and cloud-based hosting solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance our business website using PHP, Apache, MySQL, NoSQL databases, and WordPress. Implement updates, security patches, and performance optimisations for the website. Develop and customise case management software using frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony to improve internal processes and efficiency. Work closely with legal teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Manage and optimise hosting and server environments, ensuring stability, security, and scalability. Develop and maintain database structures and queries for efficient data retrieval and processing. Deploy and manage IT solutions on AWS, ensuring robust and scalable cloud-based infrastructure. Provide occasional IT support and troubleshooting related to web and software applications. Implement and manage no/low-code environments to quickly join disparate business processes. Administer and maintain Linux servers to ensure security, performance, and reliability. Manage DNS settings to ensure domain configurations are accurate and up-to-date. Key Requirements Strong experience in PHP development, with expertise in Apache, MySQL, and NoSQL databases. Proficiency in web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress. Hands-on experience with case management frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony. Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, and S3. Experience with Git version control and best development practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to liaise with legal professionals and non-technical stakeholders. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations relevant to legal firms. Experience with no/low-code environments to streamline business processes. Proficiency in Linux server administration. Experience managing DNS configurations and domain settings. Must have excellent verbal and written English. Desirable Skills Experience with API development and integration. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React. Previous experience working in a legal or professional services environment. Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Previous experience of AI integration.
