About the role The Zellis Intelligence Platform (ZIP) is a purpose-built application designed to deliver a source of data for Analytics and Data Integration. We have built a schema that presents the key data points necessary to drive insightful analytics and data visualisations through PowerBI whilst also delivering a suite of APIs to enable third party solutions to integrate with Zellis HCM Cloud. The team responsible for developing and maintaining the ZIP software, including the vast suite of Read and Write APIs, as well our "Notification Hub" product, is expanding to cope with the increased demand for new data and integration solutions. In this role your key responsibilities will be: Developing and executing manual and automated test cases to validate ZIP APIs, ensuring accuracy, performance and reliability. Review, maintain and improve existing automated tests. Undertake non-functional testing of ZIP APIs to monitor performance release on release. Role model the user of Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring accurate completion to promote continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineers and product owners to ensure the successful and robust execution of seamless integration of data between multiple systems. Suggest and develop improvements to our current product offering. Demonstrate the final solution back to key stakeholders. Appropriately flag any issues with plans to address to the Lead Test Engineer to demonstrate ownership of resolution. Work with the application and technical support teams to review customer-related issues and help resolve them in a timely manner. Skills & experience Minimum 3+ years of strong experience in developing with the following technologies: Karate Cucumber Java - version 11 and later Azure DevOps Azure Cloud REST APIs The ODATA protocol OAUTH authentication JUNIT Selenium / Playwright Postman JMeter / Gatling Gherkin Syntax: Ability to write test cases in plain language using Gherkin syntax, making them understandable to all team members. Good experience in using Structured Query Language (SQL). Some experience in using Docker and Kubernetes. Some experience of testing Kafka related applications. Ability to work alone as well as part of an agile-based team, with at least two years experience of using Scrum methodologies. Must have good analytical and proactive problem-solving skills, recommending solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well and calmly under pressure with both internal and external stakeholders. Background in HR and payroll data validation (preferred, but not mandatory). A global medical device company are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join their R&D and Process Development teams on a contract basis. Your role will be to help build R&D test systems from the ground up. For the work that doesn't need to be done from scratch, some of the work will have been started already, you will need to take it to the next level. You will also be updating the R&D test systems from a LabView test requirement. There is an expectation of 2-3 days on-site per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely. Initially you will need to come onsite to meet the team and understand what is required for the project. This will give you insight into what the current test system is doing, you will be able to discuss with the other engineers there and then you can cycle through the processes to push out improvements and updates.
