Your future duties and responsibilities As a Test Analyst here at CGI, you will be working across several Agile development teams and be responsible for the design, development and running of tests using the best tools for the job. You will have a passion for testing as well as knowledge and understanding of Testing within modern software/applications development. In this role you will utilise strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will be along side Infrastructure, Development and Project Management teams. Your future duties and responsibilities Supporting the Lead Technical Consultant on requirements analysis and solution design, including estimating. • Communicating test results to technical and business stakeholders and working collaboratively to resolve issues raised. • Supporting the team to implement solutions, getting hands-on with test preparation and execution. • Reviewing test baseline documentation, e.g. functional or non-functional specifications; High Level Designs (HLD); Hosting Design Document. • Engaging with users, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and agree test coverage. • Providing specialist advice to support others, including coaching and mentoring. Required qualifications to be successful in this role • You will have strong core testing skills that encompass testing of infrastructure and/or the ability to adapt testing skills to infrastructure verification. • You will need to be able to create test cases using your in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability). • You will be able to design automated test scripts in a modular fashion to facilitate reuse and maintenance. Your primary objective will be to meticulously craft technical and release management documentation, essential for facilitating seamless deployment and subsequent support of applications. • Provide input into Solution Design documentation in accordance with the Workstream plans. • Report regularly to the Workstream Lead & Scrum Master on progress, issues, risks, blocks and identifying recovery/mitigation actions. • Ensure compliance of all Solution Design work with the current baseline of Managed Applications workstream business processes defined by the workstream. • Raise all delivery/performance issues with the Workstream Lead in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken. • Liaise with Authority representatives in deriving the solution for complex cases. Required qualifications to be successful in this role We're looking for a range of the following skills and experiences: • Advanced application packaging & repackaging • Scripting in PowerShell or SQL • Ability to Integrate COTS, GOTS and Client/Server based applications within Windows and/or Linux based environments. • Including advanced application configuration aspects such as creating Custom Actions, creating, and tailoring Transforms and associated troubleshooting. • Good working knowledge of VMware • Familiar with using both historic and current Windows and Linux systems.
