Your future duties and responsibilities • Design and deliver high-quality technical solutions. • Lead systems engineering and systems integration efforts. • Provide technical assurance for bids and proposals. Work with public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), particularly Infrastructure as Code. • Build, lead, and mentor development teams. • Communicate effectively with both management and engineering teams. • Develop software using modern languages such as Java, Go, Python, with well-documented and standardized code. • Manage system testing and implement automated testing techniques (unit tests, integration tests, mocking/stubbing). • Deploy and develop on Linux platforms, including package management and networking configurations. • Apply modern DevOps methodologies and technologies. • Use automation/configuration management tools like Ansible. • Quickly learn and work with a wide variety of technologies. Required qualifications to be successful in this role • Able to produce high quality technical solutions and designs • Experience of systems engineering and systems integration • Experience of providing technical assurance for bids/proposals • Experience of public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and principles, in particular Infrastructure as Code • Experience of building, leading and mentoring development teams • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with both management and software engineers • Experience of developing using modern development languages (e.g. Java, Go, Python etc) with code written to a common standard and well-documented • Experience of System Testing and experience of automated testing - e.g. unit tests, integration tests, mocking/stubbing • Experience of using Linux as a deployment platform and day-to-day development environment - e.g. has experience of package management, networking configuration etc • Good understanding of and experience with Modern DevOps methodology and technologies • Experience of automation/configuration management (i.e. Ansible) • Experience with a wide variety of technologies, and ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly Desirable Skills: • Experience of SQL (MySQL/Oracle) and a good understanding of NoSQL Object Stores, e.g. ElasticSearch • Experience of writing RESTful web services #LI-UKA Together, as owners, let's turn meaningful insights into action.
