Your future duties and responsibilities We are seeking an experienced C# Software Engineer to join our Development Team, supporting and enhancing a Primary Care System, deployed globally. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major technical refresh of a deployed system that has been operational since 2011. The role involves working on both existing and new platform builds, ensuring the highest standards of system stability, security, and performance. As part of the Deployed Service Team, you will: • Support the upgrade of the current system to a modern platform based on Windows Server 2016 and Microsoft SQL Server 2017. • Work with tailored COTS medical software, underpinned by large-scale SQL Server databases. • Enhance and maintain a range of generic COTS products (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader) and generic hardware (e.g., printers, scanners) integrated with the medical software. Key Responsibilities • Enhance and uplift existing deployed software using DevOps practices. • Develop new deployed software components, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. • Place all developed software under robust configuration control. • Produce and execute unit tests, and collaborate with testers to develop and improve system tests. • Assist with process improvements to optimize software delivery and system stability. • Provide support for out-of-hours outage resolution as required (by agreement). Required qualifications to be successful in this role • Proven ability to quickly understand and work with complex, mission-critical, and safety-critical systems. • Strong expertise in Microsoft C# development using Visual Studio 2019. • Experience with Windows Server 2016 and Microsoft SQL Server 2017. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2016 in a system integration context. • Hands-on experience with SVN or similar configuration control systems. Desirable Skills and Experience • Knowledge of security hardening for operating systems and applications. • Experience with Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPO) configuration. • Familiarity with tools such as Nessus for security assessments. • Understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and their interaction with operating systems. • Experience in developing and deploying operating system images (ISOs) to physical machines. • Proficiency with Bugzilla or similar bug-tracking tools. CAD Manager - Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Environment
A successful multinational company based in Reading, UK currently seeks a CAD Manager to be responsible for working with multi-site teams to drive and oversee design implementation and design support towards successful tape-outs. You will be joining a team of innovative industry leaders working in the area of high quality, high speed signal conditioning and will have the opportunity to managing a diverse, multi-site EDA/CAD/PDK team and will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, upskilling and mentoring. You will oversee manages workload, schedules projects as well as assigning resources and providing updates to internal management. You will be developing project environments, methodologies and mixed-signal design flows for IC and System design engineers as well as training and supporting the development of design flows for multi-site engineering teams using industry standard EDA software such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, Cliosoft, etc. The successful applicant will have 10+ years experience in IC Design and/or EDA/CAD Engineering.
