We are seeking a pragmatic Lead Data Engineer to join our team and change the way of working with the increasing amount and variety of data. In this role you will provide coaching & guidance to more junior data engineers and act as the relay of the architects within the tribe.

Key job accountabilities:

·      Onboard new data engineers

·      Ensure that patterns and explained and understood

·      Validate developments in the first months

·      Answer questions of data engineers and liaise with architect if need be

·      Guarantee that all developments are in line with team policy & that performance is optimal

·      Implement or participate in complex development

·      Develop standards and Development KIT (Data pipelines, Logs, CI/CD, Data Quality monitoring) 

Expected qualities:

·      At least 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.

·      Ability to work as one team mode in squad mode to deliver in all environments

·      Have a customer focused attitude

·      Capacity to work with offshore resources

·      Communicating between the technical and non-technical

Skills:

·      Experience in mentoring other data engineers and knowledge sharing

·      Proven experience in ETL data pipelines design, implementation, and maintenance

·      Excellent knowledge of SQL and approaches to query optimization

·      Strong knowledge and experience with some distributed data processing technology like Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Spark

·      Ability to define new and challenge existing best practices for data processing and architecture

·      Ability to drive tech initiatives independently - from idea to implementation

·      You search for pragmatic solutions to balance the different requirements of data projects, and build robust systems that create synergies instead of legacy

·      Experience in production environments: Documentation / Specification, Unit tests, Deployment, Code optimization, Code versioning

·      Experience in identifying and implementing automation and DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Terraform, Airflow, Ansible, Maven, Git, Jenkins etc.

·      Experience in Scripting technologies like Java script, python, PowerShell

·      Experience working with Cloud-Native technologies especially Azure
