Senior Electronics Engineer - Southampton

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a leading company in photonics technology based in Southampton. This organisation specialises in developing advanced optical systems used in various high-precision industries, including telecommunications, scientific research, and industrial automation.

In this role, you will focus on the design and development of analog and digital circuits for fibre communication system components, control systems, and data processing in optical applications. Your work will involve developing and optimising signal conditioning and control electronics for high-precision optical measurement and sensor systems. This position offers the chance to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, contributing to the overall system design and ensuring robust performance in demanding environments.

The ideal Senior Electronics Engineer will have:
• Expertise in analog and digital circuit design
• Experience with fibre communication system components, control electronics, and data processing
• Strong knowledge of signal conditioning and feedback control systems
• Experience working with optical measurement systems or precision instrumentation
• Familiarity with photonics systems or optical sensor technologies is a plus
