Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Driving Machinery, Process & Mechanical Handling Innovation in the Nuclear Energy & Defence Industries in Warrington

Our client is a leading name in Mechanical Handling, Machinery & Process Solutions for the Nuclear Energy & Defence Industries and they're seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Warrington.

This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive mechanical engineering experience, particularly within nuclear or on heavily regulated industry projects (PetroChemical, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Defence etc).

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing complex mechanical systems across a range of industries, including Defence & Nuclear Energy.


Qualifications Required for Seniro Mechanical Design Engineer Role:
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

You should also have strong knowledge of 3D CAD design software, which is essential for creating detailed designs that meet regulatory standards while also minimizing costs without compromising quality.

Skills:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be required to use your mechanical design skills to create complex machinery, mechanical handling and process systems for a range of applications within the Nuclear Industries.

In addition, experience designing Mechanical Handling Systems, Industrial Process Systems or Nachinery used specifically in Nuclear or High-Regulation Industries is advantageous.

You should also be proficient at creating detailed designs that meet regulatory standards while also minimizing costs without compromising quality. Demonstrable expertise using finite element analysis (FEA) techniques and stress calculations methods are required skills needed due to being part of critical infrastructure processes like those found when dealing with radioactive materials.

Additional Details/Experience Required :
The ideal candidate should have FEED experience gained from previous roles building up clients' front-end loading activities regarding any given project within the Nuclear or Regulated Industries . You should also have experience working in a highly regulated industry and be familiar with the relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary: Circa £50000 per annum + Package + Hybrid & Flexible Working
