Sensor Characterisation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Sensor Characterisation Engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge electro-optical characterisation activities. This role is essential to our development work and involves hands-on engagement with optical systems and experimental hardware setups. Alongside playing a key role in the development of optical systems and maintenance of optical bench setups.
The key requirements for this Sensor Characterisation Engineer position,
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices and silicon products.
• Proficiency in programming (high-level language or scripting).
• Familiarity with the specification, setup, and alignment of free-space optics.
• Solid understanding of optics and optical systems.
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration.
This is primarily an on-site role within our lab facilities in Edinburgh, with hybrid work options available (1-2 days remote, depending on project requirements).
