This role oversees planning and managing technology programmes within Technology and Product Groups. It involves collaborating with Directors, team members, and stakeholders to implement and deliver strategic programmes, focusing on benefits, dependencies, and risk management. The role involves overseeing Senior Project Managers/Project Managers within the team, providing mentorship, training, and development support. This includes participating in team recruitment, contributing to team training and development plans, and coaching team members to ensure they have the necessary tools for effective programme management. The successful applicant will be responsible for multiple programmes and be fundamental in determining their successful delivery. Each programme will provide its own challenges and opportunities. You may join a business change programme during its Discovery phase and take ownership of direction setting, strategic stakeholder engagement and programme start-up. For another, you could be accountable for diagnosing and delivering the corrective adjustments necessary to get a multi-million-pound critical IT programme back on track. Equally, you may pick up a mature product innovation programme, orchestrating its continued delivery and expansion into new geographies and customer groups. In all cases you will need to demonstrate the ability to engage, motivate, lead and develop colleagues at all levels - both within and outside of your direct team. Experience, adaptability, positivity and proactivity are essential. As a senior practitioner you will also be expected to take on additional responsibilities through departmental, team and line management activities to grow the capability and community of the team in which you sit. Technical Programme Manager

Job Description Technical Programme Manager - Milton Keynes Our Client is looking to recruit a Technical Programme Manager with at least 10 years experience in IT having come up the ranks. Must have expertise to manage and oversee the technical processes, enhancements, upgrades and installation of new software and processes. You need to demonstrate strong technical project/programme manager with previous hands-on of networks or platforms Formal Prince 2 / Agile / PMP or similar qualifications to Practitioner level. A minimum of 7 to 10 years broad based project management experience - from implementing applications to infrastructure. Must have experience of the full project lifecycle from business engagement, ideation and planning, through delivery (design, build, test) to implementation Keen, enthusiastic and outgoing personality with the ability to engage with the user community and management. There will be some UK travel required and international travel is possible in future. The base for this assignment will be Milton Keynes with travel to sites in the UK and Asia. Contract assignment duration will be 6 months initially. The rate will be circa £600 to £750 per day dependent on experience- although the Client may go higher exceptional candidates. Job Title: Junior Programme Manager - Emerging Technologies Location: London / Hybrid Salary : £28,000 - £33,000 per annum based upon experience plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Role Purpose: Their main deliverable for this role will be the delivery of techUK's regular ‘sprint campaigns' around particular technologies or industries. These are campaigns that span several months, are focused on identifying opportunities for UK leadership on the development or application of future technologies, facilitate considered interventions (such as events, reports, and policy asks) by industry that will drive tangible progress for the sector, and convene a varied cross-section of stakeholders from across the UK's technology sector.
