Job Vacancy Lead / Senior Software Engineer

Spearheading new software projects for MedTech applications

Looking to move into MedTech or interested in a new job opportunity with an expanding tech company? This well-supported start up are betting on themselves to be at the forefront of MedTech process automation through their multidisciplinary and innovative approach. They look to recruit a software engineer to take up a lead / senior role within their team. The role requires close collaboration with the software architect and product owner to develop projects and provide actionable deliveries for the team. The position will champion software quality through modern agile practices (including TDD, CI, automated testing and pair programming) as well as mentor junior team members and ensure documentation covers regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Having graduated with STEM degree, you'll have demonstrable experience leading and developing complex software projects (ideally within a MedTech context).
• You'll have thorough knowledge of frontend and backend development using React-native, Angular, FastAPI, Flask and / or Django as well as databases.
• You'll have a broad OOP development background using Python, modern C++, C# or possibly Java; and have project experience covering desktop / enterprise applications, software interfacing with hardware peripherals and Cloud native services.
• Exposure to IoT devices via AWS or Azure would be of interest.

This is a far-reaching, technically broad technology platform requiring excellent software implementation experience and knowledge. Some exposure will not suffice. On top of this, a good aptitude to pick up new technologies will be needed.

The company look to offer good salaries, but they are not going to compete with the tech giants of the world. They will though try to provide a well-rounded compensation package (fairly unusual for a start up).

The work ethos is that the team move forward collaboratively, so they are onsite working closely with hardware. Remote / regular hybrid working is not on offer in this role.
