Lead Criteria - Significant experience of developing and supporting Azure cloud-based applications. Significant knowledge of writing and maintaining Infrastructure, and Configuration as Code Significant experience of using Unix/Linux/Windows in a support and/or development environment including scripting languages Significant experience of working in a DevOps environment - Continuous Integration & Deployment, Delivery methods and techniques, including agile scrum experience Significant knowledge of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Experience of supporting, guiding, and developing Engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment. You and your role As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will lead our team of talented Azure specialist DevOps engineers. We're hiring you because we need your skills, and experience. You'll be a respected expert voice in DWP on DevOps and Azure. You enable our teams to develop, deliver and support innovative automation solutions that allow us to offer efficient, stable and consistent services to our users You will be setting and driving the strategy and direction of development, and actively collaborating with other digital teams in DWP and across government. You'll work with senior stakeholders and share best practices with the wider DWP Digital community, as well as utilising your own skills & experience to coach and guide the team to deliver the most effective solutions. Details. Wages. Perks. Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you. Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub. Pay: We offer competitive pay of £72,664 to £89,995, based on your skills and capability. Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £22,521 per year. Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
