DV NETWORK ARCHITECT- 12 months- Cheltenham Location- Expectation is three days on-site per week with the commitment to work five days when the work requires it- Inside IR35- DV Required- £700pd to £950pd- 37.5 hours per weekAs a Network Architect (Platform Architect) you will play a critical role in designing and building core technology infrastructure being developed for a key client.You will be responsible to the Lead Architect for the architecture and design of scalable, high-performance, and secure platforms.This position requires a strategic thinker who can innovate and lead the technical direction of platform development, ensuring alignment with national strategy, user requirements and industry best practices.Platform Design & Architecture:- Develop and implement the architectural vision and technical strategy for the capabilities being developed.- Design scalable and robust platforms that meet cutomer and technical requirements.- Ensure the platform's architecture supports current and future state needs, integrating emerging technologies as appropriate.Technical Leadership:- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.- Lead architectural reviews and technical design discussions, ensuring best practices are followed.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies.System Performance & Scalability:- Ensure the platform can scale to meet growing demands and performance benchmarks.- Identify and mitigate potential performance bottlenecks.- Develop strategies for load balancing, failover, disaster recovery, and redundancy.Security & Compliance:- Implement security best practices and ensure platform compliance with industry standards and regulations in conjunction with the lead Security Architect.- Collaborate with Assurance teams to conduct regular security assessments and audits.- Address security vulnerabilities.Innovation & Continuous Improvement:- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.- Advocate for and implement continuous improvement processes and practices.- Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies that enhance platform performance and developer productivity.Technical Skills:- Experience of designing and delivering systems into classified / disconnected environments, ideally with some background in security architecture.- Experience of designing enterprise solutions for enterprise users, including device deployment & management, and authentication.- Experience of designing contemporary platforms for application hosting, deployment and development.- Knowledge of application hosting and development, including virtualisation, containerisation, DevOps/DevSecOps Capability Integration/Capability Delivery, version control software, user device OS and management (including Windows) software.- Experience of delivery using external suppliers/system integrators.Other Skills:- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and guiding engineering teams.To be considered, please send through an updated CV.
