The role is to be based in London on a hybrid basis paying up to £80,000 basic plus broad benefits and exceptional career prospects.The candidate will ideally have client facing consultancy experience and the role will be tailored to the appropriate experience level.This role will provide significant exposure to internal and external stakeholders. The successful individual will be supported to obtain relevant qualifications and develop their understanding of cyber insurance along with analytical fundamentals.Core focuses of the broader team include, but aren't limited to:Consultancy Services - contribute to the development and delivery of a diverse range of consultancy services to clients around the creation of new cyber products and services, the quantification of cyber risk and the realisation of new market opportunities;Cyber Catastrophe Management - collaborating with actuaries, catastrophe modellers and cyber experts to support clients and vendors in the development and evaluation of realistic catastrophe scenarios for the Cyber Insurance market;New Technologies - helping the team to develop new technological solutions which enable clients to enhance their understanding of cyber risk or secure new business;Expert Insight - working with brokers and actuaries to provide expert insight, translating Cyber Security concepts/ events into their implications for internal and external stakeholders;Thought Leadership - work with others to create market leading thought leadership on relevant Cyber Security concepts and their application to the Cyber Insurance industry.Core Responsibilities:To build effective working relationships within the team and other internal departments.To act as a point of contact within the department for specific tasks/processes;To ensure effective and structured verbal and written communication, with the ability to present information in a clear manner and contribute to meetings as required;To use best practices and knowledge to identify efficiencies and process improvements within projects assigned, and to solve problems as required;To be proactive in seeking opportunities to develop own expressible wherever possible;To work with minimal guidance; managing own workload, demonstrating effective prioritisation of tasks and providing regular progress updates against project plan;Ability to manage competing priorities within the Gallagher Re Analytics team.Forward planning (ability to anticipate future outcomes).Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Knowledge of IT security fundamentals as well as frameworks, such as NIST and ISO27001;Experience of cyber consultancy in client facing roles;Capability to translate technical concepts for different internal and external stakeholders;Experience working with threat scanning technologies and their interface with insurance requirements;Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally; * Experience working with Financial Services preferred;Good attention to detail; * Interest to learn about insurance, reinsurance and analytical fundamentals;Personable, enthusiastic, ability to summarise and explain key drivers of complex situations in a clear and concise manner.Education / Qualifications (preferred):University degree required in appropriate discipline at 2:1 or above. Cyber Security, STEM or Political Sciences associated disciplines are preferred;CISSP associate status/ equivalent preferred OR a willingness to complete the full qualification;Excellent IT skills, in particular, ability to present information clearly and effectively over MS PowerPoint or MS Word. We're recruiting for a Cyber Security Controls & Governance Manager to oversee and protect the Lowell Group's information assets and brand through the development and management of the appropriate forums and onward submission of items to overarching Risk and Control Committees. Working with a team of cybersecurity and risk subject matter experts in second line risk, this role presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in maintaining the health of Lowell's cyber and technology risks and control environment and will suit someone who is hands on and can work collaboratively in a matrix organisation. Accountabilities and responsibilities: Take a leading role in the control environment definition activities and working with the first line to provide support & challenge on risk and control assessments. Liaising with the owners of Xactium entries (risk, control, issue, incident and action) to ensure that these are maintained and updated. Support the UK Head of Cyber Security Risk with ownership and operation of governance controls in Nordics. Compiling reports for and administration of Technology and Information Security Risk Forum (TISF) in UK. Providing support for Nordics IT 2LOD in delivering the above activities in the Nordics regions. Performing supplier risk assessments and responding to client questionnaires across all three regions. What we need from you: Demonstrable work experience delivering effective business and technical security solutions, processes, tools and high performing teams. Experience of operating within and contributing to Information Security Management System environment. Experience of compliance to industry standards eg: ISO 27001; PCI DSS; ISO31000; and ITIL An understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Either a recognised Information Security qualification, or working towards a relevant certification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Certification, and / or Membership of the Institute of Information Security Professionals), or commensurate experience. Understanding of Cloud service provision including eg: PaaS, SaaS, IaaS. Experience with the systems and associated operations relating to SIEM, IDS / IPS, Vulnerability Scanning / Penetration Testing, Mobile Device Management. Vast experience in the broad spectrum of governance roles including data, information security, and banking regulation.
