Job Vacancy Senior Systems Engineer

My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to lead the development and production of cutting-edge technology in the MEMS-based timing space. This role involves spearheading various aspects of product development, including verification and characterisation planning, mixed-signal characterisation, and systems development.

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovations in both hardware and software, as well as mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Systems Engineer:
• Design and implement test automation for the production release of mixed-signal MEMS devices.
• Develop and execute verification and characterisation plans for new products.
• Conduct experiments to prototype and validate new system architectures and technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering team members.
• Collaborate on the design and validation of PCB test platforms and associated firmware.
• Develop and refine algorithms for integration into production environments.
• Support the implementation of programming systems in overseas locations.
• Work closely with design teams to evaluate new silicon and suggest improvements.
• Perform in-depth engineering failure analysis to resolve product issues.
Qualifications & Requirements for the Senior Systems Engineer:
• MS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; PhD preferred. Exceptional candidates with other technical backgrounds will also be considered.
• Experience in the development and production of MEMS or sensor-based devices.
• Proven experience in creating and executing verification and characterisation plans.
• Strong track record in leading engineering project teams.
• Solid understanding of mixed-signal circuits.
• Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python and MATLAB.
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
• Excellent statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Attributes for the Senior Systems Engineer:
• Expertise in programming microcontrollers, C/C++, and SQL.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
