Role Requirements As the Data and ML Product Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of data and machine learning products at RSA. You will define and drive the strategy for data and ML product development, ensuring alignment with RSA's business goals and data strategy. You will develop and maintain comprehensive data product roadmaps that outline the delivery and evolution of data products, ensuring they meet current and future business needs. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, including their ongoing governance, to ensure they remain relevant, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. You will collaborate with business units, data science teams, and technology groups to identify opportunities and ensure successful product launches and adoption. You will define practices to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data products and drive continuous improvement based on user feedback and performance data. The Individual About You: To be successful in this role you will have experience in product management, particularly within data and AI/ML domains. You will have a good background in the financial services or insurance industry, with an understanding of how data products can drive business value in these sectors. You will have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and data tools like Databricks, with an understanding of how to leverage the platform for product development, data integration, and advanced analytics. You will have experience working within Agile or continuous delivery frameworks, with a focus on iterative development and rapid deployment. You will have good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Analyse source data from source databases (PostgreSQL) to understand structures, relationships and semantics. Design and implement streaming data pipelines using AWS EMR and PySpark to generate real time (fast moving) features for the feature store. Develop and maintain batch processing pipelines using DBT and BigQuery to generate batch (slow moving) features, ensuring data quality, consistency and reliability. Work with Feast feature store, manage feature life cycle and maintain data quality. Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers and software engineers to identify requirements, define feature schemas and ensure efficient integration into Feast feature store. Requirements Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java. Strong experience with streaming technologies (Spark, PySpark, Flink, KSQL or similar) for developing data transformation pipelines. Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred). Proficiency with AWS EMR for running and managing Spark workloads. Experience in SQL based transformation workflows, particularly using DBT in BigQuery. Experience with Terraform to define and manage cloud infrastructure through code. Desirables: Familiarity with AWS, GCP or other cloud providers. Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). The Front Office Platform team is responsible for delivering user-facing analytics capabilities to businesses across Markets. The goal of the team is to create a unified platform for development and analysis. This includes driving the adoption of the platform, prototyping new technologies for integration, standardizing UI and backend components, and initiating business-aligned application development projects. This work is carried out in close collaboration with partners in trading and sales businesses and the Technology organization. Overall purpose of role We are seeking an experienced quant developer to lead the development of a cross-asset analytics platform for front office sales, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on software development role. The candidate will collaborate with senior stakeholders and users to define requirements, implement back-end and UI components in partnership with technology teams, and ensure consistency with other firmwide initiatives. This role offers significant exposure to senior managemenent and very strong communication skills are essential.
