This will be across all Campus locations and off-site data centre sites. About the Role To support the development and maintenance of the University's Data Centres and physical IT Infrastructure across multiple locations including Data Centres, Main Equipment Rooms (MERs), Distribution Equipment Rooms (DERs) and Secondary Equipment Rooms (SERs). To provide 24/7 response to critical ICT events as part of an on-call rota. What you will do - To design and implement flexible and innovative technical environments and platforms throughout their entire lifecycle in support of the University's core mission. To collaborate with external suppliers, staff from across the department and directly with the University community to capture requirements and agree implementation details. To engineer solutions using agreed tools to meet identified requirements. - To ensure reliability and quality of services delivered by creating and maintaining processes, policies, standards, and documentation that underpin the rest of the University IT Estate.
