Solutions Architect opportunity to join an Award-Winning UK wide Software Engineering company, who do a lot of work with the UK Government- working on a Fully Remote basis. Solutions Architect opportunity - Fully Remote - up to £100,000 PA + Bonus + Great Benefits To apply for this role you must be SC Cleared or able to obtain Security clearance - *That means you must be a British Citizen and have been living in the UK permanently for the last 5 years* As a Solutions Architect you will join one of our small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting workloads for customers in the UK Government. You should have experience working in security and defence, ideally with the RAF or MOD. Responsibilities: • Draft technical Statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions. • Define and asses technical architectures and solutions. • Define technical and business requirements. • Produce high and low level technical designs. • Produce high level operating model designs. • Define security controls and architecture commensurate with cloud and application security best practice. • Define and select appropriate DevOps pipeline, process and tools. • Define and select appropriate high level of coding languages, testing strategies and tools to be used. • Define the tools and practices to be used to monitor and support cloud applications. • Define service management practices/process. • Architect and support delivery of on-premise virtualization (VMware ESX, vCenter) solutions. • Architect and support delivery of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS public cloud (AWS & Azure) solutions.
