We develop, configure and support the broadcast graphics software used by the Met Office and our media customers - including ITV, STV, and Channel 5. You will probably have already seen it in action on TV weather broadcasts and you will be a key member of this team. Job Purpose Our software is an exciting, high-profile product and the results of your work will be used widely, helping to make an important, positive difference to real people. As our IT Broadcast Graphics - Industrial Placement, your key responsibilities will be: Developing applications to support the broadcast graphics software Supporting internal and external customers to troubleshoot problems with the broadcast graphics software Keeping documentation up to date Testing the integrity of the broadcast graphics software and supporting applications Exploring new capabilities We are a DevOps team, so you will get experience in both software development and support work. The placement would be geared more towards a software development role, but there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in the customer support side of things too.
