A global medical device company are looking for a Lead Engineer / Scientist to join their Research and Development team on a contract basis. The purpose of the role is to lead the design of the embolic design element of the project. Leading a team in the development of drug-device combination products with a focus on the drug side. Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is integral to the successful leadership, execution and completion of projects, technically and commercially. What You Will Do * Lead and manage all aspects of the project being the Single Point of Contact for clients, suppliers and internal functions. * Identify, plan and co-ordinate the resources needed to ensure project deliverables are achieved. * Ensure overall project budget is maintained and identify and implement improvements by managing engineering and supply chain budgets. * Maintain, and where possible maximise profitability of the contract and achieve a satisfactory cash flow through regular budget cost control, forecasting and cost saving measures. * Ensure that all potential variations to contracts are identified and agreed with the relevant stakeholders. * Maintain the agreed project cash flow by ensuring that invoices are issued correctly and on time and milestone payments are achieved as per plan. * Negotiate and evaluate contracts and contract documents and milestones. * Develop and maintain detailed project plans using MS Project. * Identify, evaluate, and put plans in place to control and mitigate technical and commercial risks. * Prepare and present progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues. * Participate in project meetings via teams or in person both in the UK and overseas, KOM, Progress meetings, Review meetings, close-out meetings, (As needed). * Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation to achieve project objectives. * Lead the technical aspects of the Project, review the contract document and scope of work for Engineering deliverables and coordinate the various disciplines for the timely submission of all Engineering deliverables including documents, drawings, datasheets, in compliance with the contract project requirements. * Validate project deliverables against the defined scope of work. * Apply technical and commercial knowledge to solve problems and optimize project outcomes. * Preparation of documentation, RFQs, PO specifications, and Material Requisitions for bought out packages and equipment. * Monitoring and expediting of suppliers and their deliverables. * Vendor technical evaluations and subsequent review and approval of vendors deliverables. * Ensure the equipment delivered meets the contract codes and standards and Project specifications and good engineering practices. * Resolve or manage the resolution of technical issues with relevant parties (Client, Engineering, Suppliers) * Handle customer comments and technical clarifications and interface with the client for technical issues until resolution. * Organise & where required attend inspections and testing with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with project ret requirements and signed off. * Prepare project documentation such as Quality Plans, ITPs and sub-order schedules. * Review documentation, specifications and certification. * Work in accordance with the company and project designated procedures and standards and quality requirements and ensure others are working in accordance with. Who You Are (Requirement) * A minimum of 8 years' experience as a Project Manager * Previous management / leadership experience * A minimum qualification of HNC (or equivalent) in mechanical or process engineering is required. * Experience in delivering engineered systems /packages / modular skids with pressure vessels, piping, valves, instrumentation. * Experience working on engineering projects in the oil & gas and/or Chemicals/Petrochemicals industry. * Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, with quality and stakeholder satisfaction. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID, PFD, Fabrication. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Well organized and able to work independently.
