Job Title: MBSE Configuration Management Engineer Location: Warton. Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 depending in skills and experience What you'll be doing: Planning the Model Configuration Management Activities Liaising with stakeholders and with other Dreadnought teams Ensuring effective leadership of Configuration Management Contributing to the onward development of model-based systems engineering Configuration management of the Functional Development Team models Support the development of improved ways of working Supporting the development of processes and practices to help ensure that the various teams are working together effectively and efficiently Supporting the Integration Team in their change management activities Your skills and experiences: Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or significant experience in a related Engineering discipline Experience using the MathWorks toolsets, including but not limited to MATLAB and Simulink Experience within a configuration management role and experience within a virtual testing environment is highly desirable Excellent communication skills are essential to support interfaces across a number of functional work streams as well as customers and stakeholders at other BAE sites including Barrow and Rochester Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Functional Development (FD) team: The Functional Development (FD) Team is currently supporting the derivation and development of system level requirements to support the AVC System level design, as well as developing a Functional Requirement Specification (FRS), in the form of a validated Simulink model and set of textual requirements, for delivery into the software process employed by the Implementation Team. In order to validate that the capability being provided by the developed solution meets the capability requirements of the system there is a need to develop a virtual test capability that will allow the functions of the FRS to be assessed within the whole boat environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant working experience and be adept at designing HV, MV, and major LV power distribution systems. The successful candidate will be required to design complex electrical systems that are reliable, efficient and meet all safety standards while adhering strictly to the client's needs. They must also ensure proper integration into building management or automation control system as per customer specifications. The engineer shall provide technical support during installation activities including testing commissioning & maintenance services whilst ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, national codes & industry best practices. Skills: - Electrical systems designs (Minimum 5 years) - Design of HV, MV and Major LV Power Distribution Systems - Mission critical project experience, preferably Data Centres - Project leadership Experience within data centers/mission-critical projects would prove invaluable.
